From Managua to San Ramón, take the Pan-American Highway (C-1) North  ”Carretera Norte” until you reach the city of Sébaco, from where you will bear right slightly following the signs to the city of Matagalpa.

As you approach Matagalpa continue straight on the Carretera Norte. You will eventually pass an Esso gas station on your left just before the intersection that leads to Selva Negra/Jinotega. Bear right at that intersection, following the signs to Matagalpa. Continue following the road until you reach a “T”(about 5 km) You will see a sign to San Ramon/La Dalia. There will be a police check-point to your left and a restaurant to your right (La Pradera de San Francisco). Turn right at this “T” following signs to San Ramón.  (About 4.5 km)

As you enter San Ramón you will see a statue of San Ramón Nonano with a “Bienvenido” sign. Take the road to the left of the statue. You will have the park on your right. After one block, the road will split. Bear left at the library (large book statue) and continue up the hill following the signs to Finca Esperanza Verde. You are now driving on La Carretera El Jobo. You will travel 15 km to the community of Yúcul. On the way you’ll pass through the communities of La Reyna and El Naranjo. Keep in mind to always bear left when in doubt. As you approach Yúcul, you’ll get to a bend in the center of town. There’s a dirt road to your left heading up hill. The farm is 3.5 km. from the start of this road. You’ll get to a fork in the road of which you’ll bear right, staying on the main road.

After 2 km you’ll approach a small reservoir (Prensa de Bavaria). Bear left. The lodge is 1.5km from that turn off.

Pass the Mariposario/Butterfly House on your left and continue straight until you reach the main lodge. Parking will be on your left after the “Beneficio” or Wet Mill.
