Yoga, Nia, Retreats of Every Kind
FEV just had to have a yoga pavilion. The serenity of the mountains and FEV’s “impossibly beautiful view” needed yoga and Nia practitioners to certify the farm as “the perfect setting for a retreat.” Finally after several years of urging, the “yoga pavilion” was born. Designed by FEV architect, Richard Harkrader, the pavilion serves as the space for yoga and Nia as well as for early morning meditation, quiet afternoon siestas in the hammocks, bird watching from one of the numerous rocking chairs and sunset viewing.
Yoga, Nia and meditation retreat leaders pay the per week rate of $895 per person for groups of 8 or more and add on an additional amount for their instruction. FEV handles ALL the logistical details from airport to FEV and back again. The leader gets to concentrate on working with her students and can leave all the rest to our helpful and congenial staff.
Note:
- Special menus may be requested in advance
- The floor is smooth, painted concrete
- 18 yoga mats, 12 straps, 12 blocks and 12 blankets are available
- Batteries are necessary to run ipods or other sound equipment
- Massage chair and massage table are available

Nia Participant Comments
Nia Nicaragua was more than I had hoped for. The experience of dancing in the rain forest with Kate and Irena was nothing short of magical and sits at top of the list of reasons I will return to the Finca Esperanza Verde. But that list is long and when added together, it equates to one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had: sipping coffee from the Finca and learning how great organic coffee is grown; eating (and making) fabulous Nicaraguan food; seeing amazing tropical birds and wildlife; learning of the simple, beautiful ways of Nicaraguan people; and communing with a group of people in a well-run ecolodge environment. New friendships and life-long memories were made. Viva Nia Nicaragua!

My week at the Finca was extraordinary – a chance to be nourished by the nature, the Nia and the wonderful new friends! My week provided me with the chance to be really away from all of life’s demands and to connect with what is really important. I am deeply grateful!

In Nia we celebrate the earth and the the sky, so dancing in Nicaragua on a level with the mountain tops was overwhelming.

The Nicaraguan experience was not only witnessing the beauty, but the merging of our lives, if only for a short while.

Nia in Nicaragua was completely amazing, inspiring, and life changing. My body, mind, and spirit felt nourished and renewed. Joy was everywhere! The exercise pavilion was beautiful, peaceful, and awe inspiring. The vision of the mountains, sky, and gliding birds; combined with the bird and distant howler monkey sounds; created a sensory delight.

The Nia Nicaragua trip was truly one of the best weeks I have ever spent. It was a perfect vacation for me–wonderful people, delicious, healthy food, amazing birdwatching, gorgeous scenery in the peaceful mountains…and 2 NIA classes a day!

“Visiting the Finca Esperanza Verde was an incredible and life-changing experience. The people at the farm were bright, caring, and kind individuals who saw that our group was completely taken care of in every way. The farm itself is a testament to what is possible when people choose to honor an environment and work with it sustainably. I could feel the deep commitment to the higher vision of living in alignment with Nature while I was on the farm. The yoga pavilion was a picturesque place to hold class, inviting us to experience and participate in the magic of the landscape of Nicaragua! The meals were delicious and prepared with care. The group activities added a whole other dimension of fun while simultaneously giving us the opportunity to interact with people in the community. All in all, this experience is one that will stick with me forever, and I look forward to continuing the tradition at the Finca!”

As a lover of nature, adventure, cultural inquisition, and a simple way of life, my stay at the Finca felt amazingly integrated. Living in the moment and for the moment, while enjoying the feeling of being alive, was reinforced by my Nia community of dynamic women who where my companions. It was a time of discovering new and insular plants and animals and savoring tranquility, peace, and spiritual rejuvenation. I also applaud the kitchen staff for the beautifully decorated plates of delicious foods they served us while taking care of our special dietary needs.

This was my third Nia trip to Nicaragua and I must say it seems to just get better each year. The fabulous staff creates such an amazing comfortable place of peace and tranquility, with just the right amount of optional activities for all to share. Dancing each night overlooking the sunset brought a serene and grateful energy to each of us. The Finca is a wonderful paradise to release, renew and rejuvenate. The delicious food and coffee, the howling monkeys, the colorful toucans and other birds, the bonfires at night, and the comfy hammocks gave us all such joy and peace. I am very thankful that this magical place exists to return to every year and share my passions of Nia dancing and Nature with others and to visit my friends who work at the Finca!
